Our nucs this year are coming from Kutik’s bee farm, where they were overwintered in South Carolina. Each nucleus colony (“nuc”) contains 5 deep langstroth frames with all stages of brood, a marked, laying queen, and plenty of pollen and honey. The bees are VSH Italian/Carniolan hybrids, bred for their docility, honey production, and varroa-specific hygienic behavior. All nucs will come in reusable Pro Nuc boxes made of durable polypropylene, with locking lids. All queens will be marked for 2026.
We expect nuc pickups to be scheduled toward the end of April, but we can never guarantee the exact date that the bees will be ready, as that is dictated by Mother Nature herself. Once you have paid for your order, we will keep you updated via email as the pickup date moves closer and we have more information. Contact us with questions!
